I am a children’s picture book and chapter book writer represented by Caroline Wakeman Literary Agency.

I started writing picture books in summer 2018. I graduated from the Golden Egg Academy’s Picture Book Programme in 2020 and have also completed Curtis Brown Creative’s online picture book course and Writing Magazine’s Writing for Children course tutored by Amy Sparkes.

I really enjoy entering kidlit writing competitions; it is a great way to improve my craft and I use this blog to showcase some of my entries. In July 2020 I won first place in the Winchester Writers’ Festival Picture Book competition, I have also been a finalist in Susanna Leonard Hill’s Holiday contest (4th overall) and Halloweensie contest (13th overall), and have been longlisted twice in Write Mentor’s Picture Book Awards. As well as this I was shortlisted for WM’s magazine competition, was a winner of Vivian Kirkfield’s 50 Precious Words and have received honourable mentions in several contests.

For the past year, I have been focussed on submitting my writing to children’s literary magazines. I have been lucky to so far have work published by Caterpillar Magazine, Glittery Literary, The Dirigible Balloon, Tyger Tyger, PaperBound Magazine, Little Thoughts Press, Buzgaga and the upcoming Parakeet Magazine.

I have also been inspired to set up my own printed press called The Toy.
